Give yourself the gift of time to sit down and make a plan for the week. It will pay off in a huge way. Use the Internet, books, or whatever source you choose to find recipes that appeal to you. Print them out, make a grocery list, head to the store, and then be ready to cook when the time comes.
With your grocery list prepared during meal planning, head to the store and procure what you need to execute your meal plan. Once you return home, put items in the fridge or pantry grouped as you need them for each recipe. If you want to chop veggies for the recipes, this will save time later in the week.
Cook the recipes when you intend to eat them, or prepare one or more of the meals ahead of time and just plan to reheat. Figure out what works for your schedule at the beginning of the week during meal planning, so that cooking and eating are enjoyable (not stressful)!
Choose this plan if you are on the fast track (or wish you had done this yesterday).
Choose this plan if you are slow and steady, making a gradual transition.
